Questions
How do I install a mod?
Install the loader first: Fabric (plus Fabric API), NeoForge or Forge. Then put the jar in the mods folder of your Minecraft folder and start the game with that loader's profile.
Which file do I download?
The one for your Minecraft version and your loader. Each mod's download section lets you pick both, and shows what else the file needs.
Do they work on servers?
Yes. Chunkgen preloads on a Fabric dedicated server when the world folder has a chunkgen.properties with a radius. Disasterpiece also comes as a plugin for Paper and Purpur, and players joining don't need to install anything.
Are they free?
Yes. No account or payment needed.
Why does Modrinth say the page doesn't exist?
